A New Skill
Is there a skill related to your hobby that you hope to learn one day? maybe you’re a crocheter who’d also like to knit? Maybe you’d like to learn to knit continental, knit backwards, try cables or attempt stranded colourwork. TAGGING CODE: knitcroblo4
I know I'm writing this under the wire here, but I can't write my blogs until I get home from work, or later.
Anyway, I already mentioned steeking, so I'll talk about something else. Spinning. I tried it a couple of times. KniftyRed let me borrow her spindle and some roving. I liked it. I did okay at it. But I have not tried it since. I usually get really into something when I take on a hobby. If I'm going to try spinning, I'm going to have to become a Spinner. That's going to cut into my knitting time. Plus I'll need to buy new materials and tools. I'll have to have a spinning wheel. That's really going to cut into my yarn money.
So what has to happen is this: One day I'm going to decide to make a commitment of it and really learn how to spin and spin well. Then I'll reach out to all my friends who spin and ask for their help and advice. But until that day, spinning will be on the back burner of things I want to do.
(why is some of this post in bold? Idk. I tried to get rid of it and got fed up.)

That is too funny that we both want to steek... perhaps I see a KAL in our future;)
As for spinning... you've got time. Those sheep and alpaca are not going anywhere!
