Teal February Lady Sweater

I finished this just in time for St. Patrick's Day and wore it today :) I had a work friend take these pictures in the schoolyard. Such a lovely day too. :)

Pattern: February Lady Sweater
Yarn: Cascade 220 in Lake Chelan, 4 skeins
Needle: US 7

Got lots of compliments on it today. So yay!

Started a swatch for Connie Chang Chinchio's Soap Bubble Wrap with the Pima Tencel. It's starting to look like I may have to do some math to make this work out for me. I would normally have to go up a needle size to get gauge, since the Tencel is just a bit thinner than a true worsted, and I knit tight. But any larger needle and this would be too drapey and hang all loose and baggy. I could just knit a larger size and see if it works out to be smaller dimensions. Who knows?

On a different note. Bought my wedding dress. GORGEOUS! I was in love. Super deal too. Got it for $150 under my budget, retails for twice as much as I paid. Yay! Also got shoes today at DSW that are PERFECT! Used a coupon and paid $30. YAY!!!
I was shocked at how expensive veils were. $150!!!!! I thought, "I could SO make that." Or, I'll do without and put some silk flowers in my hair or some other doo-dads. Yay!!

It's a great day :D

I made my veil, too. It's ridiculous what they charge for them! Congrats on finding your perfect dress for your special day!
