U2!

Some of you do not know this, but I am and always have been a HUGE U2 fan. You might even say....obsessed....when I was in junior high and high school. I've been to several concerts and have been lucky enough to be right in front. My shining moment was waving and shouting Bono's name while he was headed back stage, and he turned and waved to me and gave me the peace sign. Like I said...obsessed. (Although The Edge has always been my favorite, not Bono).

This morning, as a subscriber to U2.com, I was able to buy advance sale tickets. YAY!! They are not floor tickets, as I have gotten in the past. I didn't see the point since I would not be able to convince my companions to camp out at Soldier Field all day to get a lotto number low enough to be able to be the first fans inside and run up to get right up in front. Without doing that, we'd end up standing in the back. Not able to see much. Soooooo, I aimed for the lower section seating, where we'd have assigned seats, but not so far back as to have a poor view.

See, the thing about U2 is, their general admission floor seats are the cheapest (They want hardcore fans like me to be able to afford to get nice and close :). The next cheapest are nosebleeds. The ones I wanted were the most expensive at $250 a ticket!!! I was limited to only buy 4 tickets, but that's WAY out of my budget. In the end, I got so-so tickets at $95. *sigh*
The sacrifices I make to prevent others from suffering from my crazy fanaticism.
I guess I'll deal.

I'm really lucky to have any at all! I had such problems with Ticketmaster. I forgot my TM password, my billing address was wrong and it would not accept the new one, even though it says wrong addresses will end up with canceled purchases. I panicked. I had to start over four times, each time getting worse seats than before. I cried even. I feared they'd be sold out before I could complete my purchase. So, I have to admit, I'm lucky to have any at all........

I get to see U2!!! Again!!!!
