The first have been done a couple of weeks, but I failed to take any pictures right away, and so got them after the second pair were complete.
Chevalier Mittens

Yarn: Knit Picks Wool of the Andes (2 skeins) in Painted Desert
This yarn looked reddish to me when I first opened the package, but now that the mittens are done, it just looks like a rusty pumpkiny orange.
They are a bit big on me, even though I shortened the mittens a bit, but it means I can wear my glove liners from my snowboarding gloves underneath for extra warmth.
Squirrely Swedish Mittens

I used Patons Kroy Socks in Flax, along with Red Heart Socks with Aloe in Ivory. For budget yarn, I really enjoyed making these gloves. The pattern was fun and easy to do, and the result was super cute. These are much more fitted gloves, which is nice.
I tured the cuff under on the first one, even though I liked the look of the longer wrist length, so on the second, I left it out and I'm going to see which I prefer. I have a feeling I'll be taking out the first cuff. :P
I'm also making some Aran Slippers for Eric and myself with my Wool of the Andes. It softens up a great deal after washing, as I noticed after I blocked the soles for these slippers.
I also have a hat to make, and a scarf for myself.....
On another note, Eric and I have some silly pictures from our walk in the woods. This was before the big snowfall we had at the end of week. Actually, from last weekend.

Eric is wearing his dad's hunting jacket and boots.

This is supposed to be a Winter Version of our Sand picture from our Trip to South Haven.
*whispers* We went to the mall on Friday to look at Rings *glows*
