My mom was here to visit a couple weeks ago. My brother came with. We visited Starved Rock and Chicago, tourist-ed, took pictured, ate delicious food, etc. My mom and Eric's mom finally met. There were tears. Everyone got along great and it felt like one big family. YAY!
I'd show some pictures but my mom has them all.
I finished my dad's Raider socks. It was a mad dash run to finish them and send them off on Sat. for his birthday. Just made it before the post office closed. Whew!

I just got back today from camp Timber Lee in Wisconsin. The fifth grade class from our school went. It was a lot of fun. The kids did lots of science and nature activities all day. They were kept very busy, which meant teachers were busy too. ALL DAY, not just the normal school hours, up to getting them showered, brushed and dressed for bed at 11pm at night because the camp has them doing stuff until 10pm. Past MY bedtime thank you very much.
But the best part was horseback riding through the woods. And the woods are so very very lovely this time of year. I love fall. It was very cold but I like that kind of weather. The sting on your cheeks weather. We also did archery and played with farm animals among a million other things. They had Sheep AND Goats AND Llamas AND Alpacas! Woot! So very soft those Alpacas. I tried to buy wool and fiber from them but they would not sell. They even had bags full of already sheared wool and fiber. Just sitting there! They laughed at me. Never met a Knitter before I guess. Oh well.
I'm tired and I'm going to go knit in front of the TV. Eric's making dinner tonight. Yeah. I missed him.
