Fall Knitting

Scarves and Socks and Sweaters, Oh my!

I completed the Lace Ribbon Scarf for Eric's mom, for her birthday. She LOVED it. I was really happy with it too. It looks just gorgeous once blocked, as always with lace :P The color perfectly suited her blonde hair and blue eyes. I was thrilled!

I then cast on for these socks for my pops. He's a HUGE Raiders fan, so I decided to add the team name on the socks. I charted it out on graph paper first. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. I really like how they are coming out. I did have to frog them though. Twice. First, I forgot to add the last 'R' DUH! And had to frog back, reknit the name and then some, and was just about to start the heel when I realized they were just too big. I knew that already of course, but was in denial. I knew I could not continue. Frog and start over. Now they seem just about perfect!

Meanwhile, my poor Avalon hoodie is crying to be knit. I want to finish it! Waaa!
