Yarn: Knit Picks Shadow in Redwood Forest

More than a year I've been working on this, off and on. Finally finished for my mom for her birthday, which is Tuesday.
Lace is just so lovely in person, after it's blocked.
How I’d like to carefully, tenderly, and with ginger fingers untie and unravel the tangled mess, one knot at a time and lay it out in one long strand that has no beginning or end. And I would wind it up in coils around myself, in even bands around my body so that I could be enveloped and surrounded by her mind, entwined in her delicate fibers. If I could, I’d be my own lover. And I would know myself.

How beautiful! The pattern reminds me of peacock feathers.
